Board of Trustees

Ron Gilley, President-- Ron Gilley is associated with American National Insurance Co. in Pineville.  Ron's wife Elizabeth is a teacher at Pineville City School, and they have two children.   He also has served as a  member of the Red Bird Mission Board and serves as coach for Pineville's boys' and girls' tennis team.
Joy Saylor, Vice President--Joy Saylor is Human Resource Secretary at Pineville Community Hospital. Her husband Robert is a retired owner of a construction company. They have one daughter and two grandsons.   Joy has been an avid reader since childhood and has been involved, for several years, with the Read Across America program at the schools. She is looking forward to retirement before the end of next year in order to pursue her various hobbies on a full-time basis.
Pam Thompson, Secretary-- Pamela R.Thompson is a retired librarian from the Bell County School System.  Her husband is David Thompson, a math teacher at Pineville High School.  She has two children and five grandchildren.  She has been active in the Kentucky Retired Teachers Association.  This year she participated in the Lions R.O.A.R. on Wednesdays reading program at Pineville Elementary.  Pam enjoys reading, scrapbooking, and time spent with her family.
Sally Smith, Treasurer-- Sally is a retired teacher, having taught at Frakes Elementary for 27 years. She is active in the Kentucky Retired Teachers Association and now serves on the state executive council. She is an officer of the Bell County League of Women Voters and of the Middlesborough Garden Club. She serves on the Housing Appeals Board for the city of Middlesboro and is a frequent observer at the Middlesboro City Council meetings. Sally and Mark are active in the First Presbyterian Church and enjoy being grandparents.

Farrah Shoffner, Member--  Farra is the coordinator for the Middlesboro Family Resource Center at both Middlesboro Primary School and the Intermediate School.  She has a degree in social work from Eastern Kentucky University.  Farra is also involved with the Middlesboro Kiwanis Club and is a member of First Christian Church.  She and her husband, Jerry, have two children--Celia and Nicklaus.
